This year (2017) Uhuru Torch was able to lay down foundation stones, inaugurate and inspect 15 projects which worth Tsh. 8,283,067,927.20/= where by Tsh. 6,124,865,040.20/= was donated by Central Government, Tsh. 725,442,387/= donated by the Municipal Council, Tsh. 801,789,400 donated by the Citizen and Tsh. 543,067,300 was donated by other Stakeholders. Among of the projects were Education, Health, Water, Road Construction, Industries, Agriculture, Livestock, Youth and women, HIV/AIDS, Drugs, Urban Planing and Land and Natural Resources.
